when 3 is almost 4!
This waiting game. You know, the last few weeks awaiting the arrival of the next step in your journey. The peace, the comfort, the frustration, the struggling to walk. The needing to pee every 5 minutes. The waiting.
This time is precious. Filled with wonder and excitement waiting to see who this little human will become. The fear and mum guilt that often accompanies motherhood. The anticipation for meeting this gorgeous little human that you've been creating for the last 9 months.
I was blessed to have Wendy, Dalton and Jackson in my new Boho themed setup last weekend and honestly, this is one of my favourite sessions ever!
Jackson is filled with character and the energy that only a 3 year old can have. Wendy and Dalton are so gentle and in love, ready for this next step in their journey and ready to meet their little girl very soon. It warmed my heart to see the softness that they share.
This session, like most others, came with anticipation and the 'How will this turn out'. I was nervous, because, well let's face it, I'm a perfectionist, so I was overthinking the studio and if I could do this gorgeous family justice. And then we got started. The session was easy, it flowed and I just couldn't put down my camera!!
105 edited images later (and that was a struggle to cull it to only that amount!!) and I am so happy that I was able to capture some of the most beautiful images of this gorgeous family.
Sharing in times like this, and capturing memories that last a lifetime is so precious, and I will be forever grateful that I have the gift of being able to do this. To call this a 'job' seems unreasonable to me. Job's are often associated with monotony and no enjoyment. This is the complete opposite for me. I enjoy every session. I enjoy meeting every client. I enjoy seeing their faces or hearing their reaction when they see their images. Doing what I do ignites a certain magic in me that I hope I will never lose.
And, after almost 4 years away from the camera (apart from a few shoots here and there), it truly feels amazing to be back behind the camera.
Loving what I do. Creating everlasting memories (I know I know, cliche! But it really is what I think!) and bringing beautiful images to people to share.
Truly blessed.
Enjoy seeing some of Wendy, Dalton & Jackson's images. And hopefully soon I get to meet their gorgeous little girl!!
Stay beautiful x
Claire
