Now I am almost speechless when it comes to descibing Fiji! Words can not convey just how amazing this place is. The people, they environment and the overall feel are just beyond anything we can conceive here in Australia. I am so grateful that I got to travel to this magical place to take part in a beautiful wedding... even if it was during a horrible cyclone!

I absolutely fell in love with this country and all that it has to offer! Although the Fijian people don't have a lot compared to our standards, they are some of THE happiest people I have ever met! Always a smile and a 'Bula'. Sometimes you would walk from one area to another in the resorts and say 'Bula' 20 times! But it is always said with such respect.

We spent an amazing 10 days in Fiji. We traveled to some beautiful places and met some amazing people! First of all... we went to Treasure Island Resort! This stunning little island was full of warm welcomes and big smiles! The relaxed feeling was great and although we were there during the cyclone and most of the activites were closed... we made the most and even spent some time with the villagers after hours. We drank Kava with the locals and some great laughs! The perfect little island getaway is perfect for a relaxing family or couple holiday... or even a small little wedding... which was the reason we were there!

We then went to continue our stay on the Coral Coast for some much needed relaxtation and man! The resort we stayed at was The Warwick Fiji and I must say we didn't want to leave! Again, the staff were amazing! In a resort full of tourists... they knew our names and greeted us daily and ALWAYS with a smile!! We even had a cocktail named after us on our last day!

We did a day trip to the magical Namuamua Village and had a tour of their gorgeous little village school and learnt some of their history! We met the locals, drank Kava (again) with the chief and had an amazing lunch grown and provided by the villagers! We then got to browse their handicrafts and help support the locals buy buying some of their amazing artworks to take home!

After 10 days of magical paradise I must say I was extremely sad to leave. I could have stayed forever and will most definately be going back again!

So I will leave you with a few photos of the stay (I was surprised I didn't take more... but I was enjoying the beauty so much I left my camera back at the room!) and work on going back again to this beautiful place!
